The ‘Y console’ and ‘Y table’ – designed by Paris-based studio A+A Cooren as guests of Sam Baron and friends – are part of the ‘Y collection’ produced for the largest mail order company in france La Redoute.
The pieces befit their title with y-formed metal legs bearing a thick birch plywood table top – the ‘Y table’ is free standing whereas the console rests against a wall. The work is defined by a smooth, clean aesthetic and fluid lines, as well as tapered edges subtly exposing the wooden detailing on the underside.
