Bonaldo offers a collection of accessories to furnish and illuminate at the same time, combining two functions in a single product. Nemesi and Theduck, in the Light version, are practical coffee tables which, thanks to their original shapes, characterize the room and also allow to enlighten it; Doppler Light and Muffin Light, besides being lamps, furnish and decorate the home going beyond their main function.
Theduck is a surreal and functional coffee table, an ironic and fun metaphor of an unusual pet. “The idea of a faithful duck sitting beside the sofa, with a coffee table on its head, ready to hold remote controls, smartphones, books and magazines, was so absurd and unlikely to me that I was immediately captured by it”, the fun comment of designer Alessandro Busana. Thanks to the illuminated version and its eccentric nature, Theduck can be both amazing and functional anywhere in the home, from the living room to the bathroom, the bedroom and even the garden.
Nemesi is a metal coffee table that stands out for the combination of two geometrical shapes, the circle and the line, which cross one another to create a balanced whole. The base consists of two tubular metal elements crossing on the ground, giving it a sense of solidity. It is also available in the version with a light, called Nemesi Light, which – when combined with lounge chairs or armchairs – creates a charming atmosphere that is perfect for reading. Nemesi is designed by Dondoli and Pocci.
Bonaldo presents Doppler Light; the wall lamp devised to extend its successful Doppler collection of coffee tables and sideboards, designed by Giuseppe Viganò. Made of laminated glass, the wall lamp revives the idea of the illusion given by overlapping planes and the graphic patterns that are the distinguishing features of the entire collection.
Following the success of the coffee table/pouf version, the Japanese designer Ryosuke Fukusada has re-utilised the iconic shape of a muffin – inspired by the simple geometric shape of the famous American cake mold – in the “Muffin lamp” floor lamp. The lampshade features a beguiling drapery effect that generates a bemusing game of shadows, giving the light more depth. The lampshade of Muffin lamp is available in matt white, and its structure is of metal painted in white, red or anthracite gray.
