This Melbourne suburb house designed for a young family captures with its timeless architecture, contemporary approach towards functionality and cheerful interior design and it’s a beautiful example of contemporary Australian housebuilding.
The architects from In2 used the newest building technologies, techniques and materials that were essential for the client’s brief. Apart from the modern architecture, the reasonable luxury of materials and furnishing, what drawn our attention to this project is the graphic dialog between textures and surfaces, the warmth of materials and colors and the juxtaposition of shapes.
The dark marble surfaces in combination with the black furnishing elements and the graphic rug applications make an atmosphere of dynamic, modern and artistic interior. This dark and hard tonality are harmonically supplemented by the presence of wood, yellow, orange and vital colors and the oblong shapes found in the vintage style lighting solutions. Another cleverly designed juxtaposition and dialog is the one that goes between the straight lines and square shapes of the architectural elements and in some of the modernistic furnishing and the oval and oblong shapes found throughout the house – spicing it up – here a table, there a chair.
Altogether the house has very young and charming emanation – a place where a modern dynamic meets family comfort, where the stylish luxury is spiced up with playful and cheeky elements and colors.
