CMT architetti has refurbished the historic old villa located in the town of Monteriggioni; Italy. It has been associated with the work of Baldassare Peruzzi, painter, and architect from Siena, who worked in the area between the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. The restoration and renovation were focused on the main floor with the construction of a modern and functional apartment.
In the new living area, floors were made of cement and light ocher-colored resin. Even the floors of bathrooms are done with the same materials. The floors in the sleeping area, all made with a parquet flooring in natural oak wood.
All the furnishings of the house, except for some recovered, were custom-designed and produced by local artisans as unique and unrepeatable. The furnishings are made of recycled oak wood with black veins, raw iron sheet treated with natural wax white lacquered wood. The kitchen floor is polished black matt marble.
