It may be very interesting, intriguing even to see the homes of well-renowned architects and designers and the way they resolved their living arrangements. Creating a contemporary home that fits sensibly with its surroundings in the suburbs of Tel Aviv the famous Israeli architects Pitsou Kedem achieves timeless and relevant construct that charms with its artistry instead of empty fashion. The house arrangement has a certain mystics – thanks to its close connection with its natural surrounding – old trees and garden plants, the play of light and shadow through the panoramic windows and the wooden wall constructs combined with round holes of light that add playful character to the solid structure.
The facade consist of rectangular expose concrete structures that whisper stability and timelessness and timber louvers that bring flexible shelter from the sun and add lightness to the construct. One of the most notable features of the architectural assembly are the circular openings in the concrete walls and ceilings that bring selected views in the inside premise and artistic emanation to the outside look. The louvres are electronically controlled so they can be adjusted in accordance with the movement of the sun throughout the different internal spaces, which results in a play of light and shadow across this cozy home. The penetration of light is defining the spacious premises and different areas of the house.
The furnishing is functional, contemporary and stylish. The material palette is carefully chosen so that would age well over time-row concrete, wood, and unpainted iron. Altogether the house is unpretentious but obviously made with great care for each detail – cozy artistic and comfortable family home that shows refine taste and earthly filing for the functions.
