Generator Paris is this amazing urban space with unmistakable artistic spirit, located in central Paris, France. That is the newest branch of the hot fast expanding hotel chain and it can’t be explained or described – it must be experienced.
Creating this dynamic space located in trendy and full of galleries and theaters neighborhood the design team of Anwar Mekhayech and the architects from d’Architecture Ory & Associés used unusual approach – rather than connecting each space, they designed them more as an exploration of ideas – real or surreal. Creating existing and unforgettable vibe the interior design offers amazing mixture of concrete -contemporary – industrial elements with stunning vintage pieces and great finds from Parisian flea markets, inviting, warm and charming textures, or even signature design elements including those from Tolix, Jielde and Tom Dixon. Throughout the vital and rich spaces a unique pieces made by emerging industrial and furniture designers (such as Blom & Blom, Lobster’s Day and local artists including Romain Guillet and You Talking to Me) can be found.
The design of this hotel premises is like an art gallery itself – the richens of stylish details, unexpected twist and insertions and thematic separation of spaces – a Mondrian-inspired reception desk, followed by Moroccan infused chill-out space featuring custom wood pallet and kilim sectionals, or the elegant simplicity of the guestrooms: all is full of life, and every detail is made with love.
Throughout the hotel: in bars, lobbies, terraces, communal spaces and guest rooms – the rich, sensual play of colors, lights, furniture elements and textiles can spin your head on. According to the architects; “the interior design was inspired by the cinematic experience of strolling Paris’ streets and discovering its romantic moments, changing moods and rich colours”- so in reality this modern hotel with its 916 guest’s capacity in a range of shared rooms, twin rooms and penthouse rooms with private terraces and amazingly vital and intriguing communal spaces, becomes one very colorful, artistic and stylish love letter to Paris.
