Natural materials and neutral colours define the new Naturtex ecological outdoor and indoor carpets, born from the first collaboration between the Valencian brand and Spanish designer Jorge Herrera. Two new collections of natural fibre carpets with a decorative and ecological vocation.
Sustainable design and aesthetic research linked to respect for the environment unite Jorge Herrera Studio and Naturtex in the creation of Camino and Pangea, the two collections of carpets in ecological material presented in Milan during the Salone del Mobile 2023.
With their irregular sides, the Naturtex ecological outdoor and indoor carpets of the Camino collection are created by weaving sisal and jute, joined with a band of contrasting fabric, which also serves as a decorative element. Made from the same materials, Pangea is the collection that combines a round rug with a more elongated one by means of a contrasting coloured cord.
Woven with cotton filaments, the ropes used to create the carpets are made of jute and sisal, a plant fibre derived from the Mexican agave. Durable over time, these natural materials are suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments. The Camino and Pangea collections are made with a short supply chain type of production, which eliminates waste by controlling every single stage of processing.
