This contemporary project of platau present us with quite an untypical and vivid home – with its linear projection, wooden structures and black frames that stretch towards infinity. Situated in Beirut, Lebanon this home is intriguing, naturalistic and modern, composed with style and sensitivity towards elegant trendiness.
The central living premise offers open plan exposition that is designed in split-level exposition and entwines the dark steel spine that stretches to define the second level and the wooden cladding and custom-made structures- including the bookshelves that go from floor to ceiling.
The first plan of the mezzanine arrangement accommodates the kitchenette corner: functional, elegant and almost minimalistic, the dining area that futures massive wooden table and modern chairs arrangement and the living zone – here trendy large furniture in gray and charcoal is dynamically juxtaposed to the oval assembly of the contemporary coffee table set, which accent in red gives a playful hint to the whole premise.
The second level entwines the elegant warmth of the wooden cladding and structures with the intimacy offered by the architectural concept. Here the metal spine, the wooden filling, and the clear glass cage are composing a modern and yet cozy working and reading space.
Throughout the apartment, the continuity of the materials palette: concrete, wood, and metal are combined in different settings, all illuminated by trendy lamps by PSLab and designers pieces. Each of the three bedrooms in the apartment has its personality and style, but all are sustained with a modern sense of unique design. That also goes for the bathrooms design – we especially enjoy the artistic white leaf mosaic laid on the complete darkness of the walls. Photography by Wissam Chaaya
