Those epochal and breathtaking nature views deserve nothing short of elegance and sophistication in terms of architecture and interior design. The architects from Studio Arthur Casas, working in close collaboration whit the owner, chose and develop the plot situated on the hillside of Sao Conrado beach, turning it into this contemporary and welcoming home. As every social and living area, on this three – floor building, has a view – open spaces, vast windows and light color tones are self – understanding. The garden is moved as a courtyard in the center of the architectural construct so that decks, terraces and swimming pool can fully benefit from the majestic mountain and wide sea views.
The interior decoration is simple and elegant – a combination of typical Brazilian furniture style successfully mixed with foreign items. Comfort and coziness were priorities when deciding the interior, using local materials (stone and cumaru wood) natural color palette, textures and fibers – the architects let the inspiration from the local landscape to take a leading role. The materials and colors juxtaposition – stone and wood, gray and water blue in the outside, warm caramel and white in the inside create a dynamic yet tender ambiance.
